Transform leadership through neuroscience-backed strategies that empower employee voices, reduce stress, and unlock innovation in this FREE 1hr CPD webinar.
Part of Building a Culture of Care series:
A practical, FREE four-part series on building workplaces where people feel respected, supported, and motivated. Each session explores a core element of care-based culture that strengthens trust, connection, and shared purpose within your team.
The webinar explores the impact and outcomes of listening to understand, the importance of responding and the impact on the wellbeing and quality of working life (QoWL) for employees.
Neuroscience provides evidence as to why having a voice matters and this is rooted in survival. Employee voice is in part about feeling respected and is also about influence. One of our deep needs, is have some control, or at least a perception of some control, over our environment. If we have no control, we are helpless and, in prehistoric times, unlikely to survive.
There are many studies that show that we have better health and live longer, when we have some control. Leaders need to know that when we feel we have no control, we see the same situation as much more stressful.
It helps individuals who are stepping up to a leadership role, identify effective strategies, understand the impact of their personal style and behaviours, so they can have the best impact on both personal and organisational performance. For those already in a leadership role, we will share case studies and research that identifies best practice to enable leaders to become the best they can be.
This training course is part of our collection of Leadership & Management Training Courses which focus on leadership, innovation, strategy, communication, finance, problem solving and conflict management, to name a few key areas.
This session is relevant for existing leaders and managers, as well as those new or aspiring to a management role, who want to achieve greater success by enhancing their leadership skills, through understanding the impact our brains have on performance, stress and quality of working life.
I believe that organisations led by emotionally intelligent leaders at all levels, whilst underpinned by a culture of care, can drive engagement. The output from engagement includes improved metrics on safety, wellbeing, quality, productivity, CSR, sustainability, retention, recruitment and reduced organisational risk.
I’m a motivational speaker for organisations such as the Institute of Directors (IoD), Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), British Safety Council (BSC), Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) amongst others. I also speak at company events on leadership and culture.
I have a thorough understanding of risk and change management, essential for ensuring the successful implementation of cultural improvement programmes. The successful implementation of any programme, often hinges on the ability to engage, influence and work with numerous key stakeholders, including senior leadership teams and others.
