Course overview

Implementing ISO 14001:2015 will give your business a structured framework for identifying, managing, and improving environmental performance.

There are many compelling reasons for implementing this international standard for environmental management systems (EMS), including:

  • Demonstrating your organisations commitment to environmental responsibility, sustainability and enhancing your reputation with stakeholders.
  • Helping to ensure your organisation is complying with relevant environmental laws, regulations and requirements.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks within your business to reduce the risk of fines and damage to your reputation resulting from non-compliance.
  • Integrating ISO 14001 principles into your business strategy will ensure environmental considerations are aligned with your overall strategic goals.

With global recognition, implementing this important ISO can also give you a competitive edge with environmentally conscious customers, clients and partners. It will also enhance your attractiveness to stakeholders, including investors and employees, and aligns with Corporate Social Responsibility objectives.

Overall, implementing ISO 14001:2015 can enhance your organisation's environmental performance, reduce risks, improve operational efficiency, and boost company reputation as an environmentally responsible business. By aligning with modern sustainability practices your business can gain financial, operational, and reputational benefits.

The expert trainer will take your through the steps you need to follow to achieve this ISO. This is a very interactive and participative course and delegates are encouraged to bring relevant support information from their own businesses, where appropriate, in order to gain the best from this intensive course. The trainer will provide direction, help, guidance and feedback throughout.

Jodie Read
Penarth Management

Jodie Read, Managing Director of Penarth Management Limited, joined the business as a Consultant in 2000 and became the Managing Director in 2006. She is actively involved in quality, environmental, health and safety, information security and business continuity compliance consultancy and training, whilst also being responsible for managing the teams who are assigned to look after clients. Jodie is also the lead contact for Mango Compliance Software implementation projects.

Following the publication of the Public Inquiry from the attack on Manchester Arena, Jodie identified a number of missed opportunities in relation to compliance. Recognising that the introduction of the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill, colloquially known as “Martyn’s Law” after Martyn Hett, one of the 22 innocent victims of the attack, will present challenges for some organisations, Jodie founded The Protect Alliance (UK) and is working extensively with like-minded businesses who share her passion to help organisations to implement simple but robust processes to ensure that they can meet their legal and moral duty to protect people.
