6 Dec 2021
With new pressures and changes to our way of working during these uncertain times having a significant impact on our day to day lives, it is not uncommon to feel like we are unable to find the right balance between work and the other things we need to focus on. Particularly as for many of us, this all now falls under one roof.
This webinar will aim to define stress and anxiety while normalising these feelings and exploring practical coping mechanisms to reduce the negative and sometimes overwhelming feelings many of us are experiencing.
Louisa has worked in the City, as a lawyer and project leader, for over twenty years. In addition to private practice work, she has been on secondment to a wide range of industries. This has developed her expertise in building and maintaining team communication and stakeholder engagement in different contexts. Louisa moved from private practice to become Chief of Staff to the COO at EY LLP involved working with senior management on performance. This developed her business career and led to her focus on coaching, maximising potential and performance, benefitting both the individual and the organisation in which they work. Louisa's coaching practice is supported by my psychotherapy (BACP accredited) and coaching qualifications (ICF accredited). This enables her to bring the various branches of: psychology; personal development; and mindfulness in order to help assess and enhance peak performance. Louisa works individually, and as a group facilitator, with a particular interest in resilience, career acceleration and leadership.
As well as training as a lawyer he went on to gain an MBA from Ashridge Business School (where he is now an Adjunct), have a coaching qualification, and being a CEDR (Centre for Dispute Resolution) accredited mediator. Ian works with a number of other people including Louisa Elder and also Sherwood PSF Consulting where he is a member. Ian trained as a coach in 2012/13 with Coaching Development and holds their Coaching Development Certificate in Professional Coaching Skills (accredited training hours by the International Coach Federation). He has coached a number of senior individuals on how to enhance their performance or reach certain objectives. Examples include helping senior executives enhance their performance sufficiently to be promoted to the executive team of a major corporate as well as lawyers looking to develop to the next stage of their careers. Ian's style as a coach is to listen and not to get in the way of the client.
