This one-day course is designed to equip managers with the skills needed to manage remote workers effectively, producing successful team and individual performances regardless of location. Drawing upon leading academic research and best business practice, this course is delivered within a collaborative, knowledge-sharing framework to:
1. To develop managers’ skills and confidence to be effective managers when dealing with remote employees.
2. To provide the tools for managers to enhance the productivity, engagement and business alignment of remote employees.
3. To discuss and resolve typical issues faced by managers when working with remote employees.
4. To facilitate dialogue and the sharing of experiences between managers.
5. To ensure managers leave the training feeling engaged and motivated by the investment made by employer in their skills development.
Managers will be better equipped to effectively manage those employees who work in different locations. Managers will have a greater appreciation of the challenges these employees face and be able to utilise enhanced management skills to support their reports to achieve their best for their employer.
The day breaks into four sessions. Delegates are encouraged to use the safe space of a learning environment to raise questions, share knowledge and discuss experiences. PowerPoint will be supplemental to facilitated discourse. Engaging graphics, research-based evidence, salutary anecdotes and short, thought-provoking videos are also used.
