The widening skills gap

‘Companies are facing skills shortages at critical levels that will restrain economic activity this year (2018) unless the issue is addressed.’

Thus spoke the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) in a survey, just published, of several thousand UK companies.

Most particularly, managerial and professional staff are the hardest to recruit.

Employers must do more to ensure that the widening gap between the skills that they need and what their staff can offer does not continue to be one of the “biggest barriers” to growth, in the words of the BCC.

Time and resources for training members of staff must be stepped up!

Step forward training companies like Falconbury Ltd and Management Forum Ltdā€¦

Well, I would say that, wouldn’t I?
